Ellen began her teaching career in NY, joining Trevor Sorbie of America and working her way onto the Artistic Team in 1990. She joined Redken as a Global Artist in 1996. Currently, she continues to work with Redken as a facilitator at the Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in NYC. In addition, she represents Redken around the world educating, performing on stage, working fashion shows and photo shoots, and designing trends.

When not working for Redken, she enjoys a busy career as a freelance artist with various agencies, photographers, and the media. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, such as Elle, Marie Claire, Seventeen, Latina, and Vellum. Her current media work includes Project Runway, America’s Top Model, and the CBS Morning Show.

Ellen has created looks for fashion designers Vera Wang, Cynthia Rowley, Betsey Johnson, Carmen Marc Valvo, Badgley Mischka, jewelry designers Rodrigo Otazu and Chris Aire, Tory Burch, Norma Kamali, and Phillip Lim. Her photographer references include Ron Contarsy, Rod Spicer, and Travis Rathbone.

Her talent was recognized by North American Hairdressers Association when she was nominated for Hairstylist of the Year as well as The Texture and Avant-garde Categories.
